Terms of Service

These terms are subject to change at any time. The client must read and understand these terms before agreeing to commission the artist. Once the artist begins working on a commission, it is assumed the client has agreed to these terms of service.

Ownership
- The artist reserves the right to refuse a commission for any reason.
- The artist will not accept commissions that are purposely hateful, contain immoral pairings/relationships, or are political in nature.
- Reference images will be provided by the client.
Payment
- Base prices are subject to change without notice. Commissions started prior to base price changes are unaffected.
- Prices are subject to change due to commission complexity.
- Payment is done in two parts: half of the fee before the beginning of the piece’s sketch and the other half after the completion of the piece.
- The first half of the payment is a non-refundable down payment.
- Payments are only in USD. If converting currencies, it must be the correct amount.
- Payments are only accepted through Paypal and Paypal Invoices.
Cancellations and Refunds
- If cancelling a commission while still in progress, a cancellation fee may be negotiated.
- Typically refunds are not given, but in the case of an emergency, a refund may be negotiated.
Edits and Alterations
- Two post-completion alterations are allowed. After that, an additional fee of $5 USD will be charged per alteration.
- Please understand that if the post-completed alteration requires too much work, the artist may decline it.
Ownership
- The client is paying for a private commission, not work-for-hire.
- The artist retains all rights to the artwork (including sketches, preparatory work, and progress images), licensing, and reproduction rights.
- The client retains all rights to original characters and designs.
- The artist reserves the right to display and use the commissioned artwork for personal websites, portfolios, etc. However, the client may request against public showcasing of the commission.
- The client may upload the commissioned artwork to their personal websites with proper credit and link to the artist.
- The client may use the commissioned artwork for non-commercial personal uses (eg. profile image, wallpaper, blog parts, etc) with proper credit and link to the artist. The client may resize or crop the commissioned piece for these personal purposes.
- The artist’s signature must remain on the finished commission and all progress images. The artist’s signature cannot be edited out.
- The client cannot edit, alter, reproduce, sell, trace, or claim ownership of the piece unless stated otherwise from the artist.
